Australian designer Dion Lee has released a permanent line of women’s tailoring, entitled SUIT.

Dion Lee, who on Saturday showed his spring 2017 collection at New York Fashion Week, has also unveiled a new core collection of tailored womenswear, SUIT, in collaboration with The Woolmark Company. Feted at an intimate event hosted by the Australian Consul-General in New York, Hon. Nick Minchin, the collection, comprising Merino wool suiting (as its name suggested), fine knitwear and cotton shirting, is produced in Australia and Italy, and will be sold in its first iteration through Net-a-Porter, department store David Jones and Lee’s own retail stores. And while his regular collections will continue to change, as is the nature of fashion, SUIT is intended to become a permanent capsule, evolving at a slower pace so as to service the designer’s customers.
