A striking tableau showcased the spring 2016 collection from Ralph Lauren’s Purple Label line in Milan.

While American super-brand Ralph Lauren doesn’t stage a runway show for its menswear collection, as part of Milan Fashion Week this week it presented the spring 2016 collection of its Purple Label line in the form of a tableau, as pictured in the gallery above. As the house’s most premium line, the clothing on display – which ran the aesthetic gamut from black tie tuxedos through to sportswear – was rendered in luxurious finishes, as is expected of the house. Three-piece suits, for example, were crafted from silk-gabardine and with wide peak lapels, and pants cut from silk jacquard. For the more active pieces, manmade fibres like nylon were combined with bonded leather and merino wool, demonstrative of Ralph Lauren’s attention to detail.
