Given how dashing guests looked at last night’s Hublot dinner, we declare all events should henceforth be black tie.

Last night in the Victorian rustic gothic halls of The Scots College in Sydney’s east, Swiss watchmaker Hublot hosted a dinner in tribute to two-time world cup cricket champion, and captain of the Australian team, Michael Clarke. It was an intimate affair held, because of the storm, in the school headmaster’s quarters, Aspinall Hall, and rather nicely, a dress code of black tie was decreed, bringing out the most elegant wardrobes of the assorted sportspeople, editors and clients in attendance, including bookmaker Tom Waterhouse, This Is Beard founder Scott Maggs, Manuscript editor-in-chief Mitchell Oakley Smith and always elegant publicist Emma Van Haandel.
