Australian label Song for the Mute returns this season with its signature monochrome aesthetic, affirming the brand’s place in Sydney menswear landscape. ‘Roots’ is a collection that highlights SFTM’s versatility within a well-established trademark – soft tailoring, loose silhouettes and earthy colour palette all work in unison to steer the label in the direction of the ethereal this season. Notable pieces include a hooded zip parka, layered bucket shorts and padded box top, and serve to invigorate enduring classic styles like the fold-over cropped pant and the raised neck jacket. The collection is available in stores from January 2015.
