GRAZED ON GREATNESS

Hats off to Australian suiting outfitter M.J. Bale and production company Whybin Sydney for this week's win of five awards - including two golds, twi silvers and a bronze, at the 59th Cannes Lions, the international advertising industry's equivalent of the Academy Awards. M.J. Bale's web-based campaign tracks the growth of merino wool for the outfitting of the Australian cricket team, for whom the house is the official tailor. M.J. Bale's founder and designer Matt Jensen said that "not only is this idea recreating the way in which we develop our products, but the fact that we've been recognised on an international level gives us even more enthusiasm to push on to create garments of provenance and character." Indeed, it's such accolades that help, ultimately, to put Australian fashion on a global platform. For that, we congratulate the team behind the short film. Bravo.
